Steamed Kale & Chicken Sausage w/ Buttered Toast

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you ”Steamed Kale & Chicken Sausage with Buttered Toast.”  Kale seems to be the “in” vegetable these days.  I mean, if you aren’t eating kale, you aren’t cool…  Well, I need to renew my membership to the “Cool Club” with a different shade of kale.  So today, we are going to enjoy it after it’s been steamed, for a different change of pace!  Normally I’ve enjoyed kale in a salad, but you tend to want change after a while.  Along with that popular green, we are going to enjoy some organic chicken sausage, and a side of buttered toast.  But not just any toast, we are serving up some healthy and scrumptious Julian Bakery Paleo Bread™!  This “Bread-Winner” has come a long way because of its taste and reputation…  With low cals and low carbs, it’s a win for those that are looking to shed some pounds, as well as for those that want to keep it off.  It also is grain and gluten free, so that’s a win for those who have Celiac’s, or even though who are aware of and want to avoid the possible dangers of grains and gluten.  And finally Paleo Bread™ is made with all natural ingredients; its soy free, yeast free and GMO free, and it comes in coconut or almond flavor.  Well I shouldn’t even say “flavor”, because you are getting actual coconut and/or almond in there.  Yeah Buddy!  Sounds like Paleo to me!   Let’s check out what went into this afternoon’s meal, shall we?

Ingredients:

• 1 slice coconut Paleo Bread™

• ½ cup water

• 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar

• 1 bunch of Kale

• Organic chicken sausage

• Grass-Fed Butter

• Celtic Sea Salt & Black Pepper

• Olive oil

• 2 cloves garlic

Directions:

1)      Start cooking chicken sausage.

2)      Steam kale with water and red wine vinegar for until kale is soft and water has evaporated.

3)      Cook Paleo Bread™ to your liking.

4)      Add butter to toast when ½ done.

5)      Combine kale and chicken sausage in a pan, and add some olive oil and garlic.

6)      When bread is almost done, remove and add more butter if desired.

7)      Add salt and pepper to kale and chicken sausage.

8)      When egg is cooked to your liking, add salt & pepper.

9)      Transfer all items to plate.

• 15 minutes

As usual I get to enjoy meals, with toast once again!  The coconut Paleo Bread™ with butter, grass-fed of course, was a perfect addition to a very nutritious meal.  You have healthy greens, a great protein, and healthy fats, like I previously stated; “Sounds like Paleo to me!”   When you combine all these healthy ingredients, sourced organically and without that GMO nonsense, you can’t help but get a little proud.  You know you did the right thing, and bask in that glory for a few.  Your body will appreciate it, and in the long haul, so will your wallet as you bypass health complications due to a great diet.
