Peppered Turkey Burger On Paleo Bread™

Want to see what Dan from Primal4Life enjoys as a recovery meal?  Look no further than this meal right here, made with wonderful ingredients like organic ground turkey, fermented foods like pickles and kimchi, raw garlic, and two slices of almond Paleo Breadby Julian Bakery.  It has great protein, tons of nutrients, and many anti-inflammatory properties making it a great choice for an after the workout meal.   

Now, if you watched the video that is associated with this blog, you’ll see that I had a turkey burger on hand.  It was last night’s delicious dinner, as a leftover.  So, I will share that recipe with you below.  If you want one burger, just divide this recipe by six, as this will make six burgers.  But hey, you deserve it, make a full batch for the fam!  Or be greedy!  Save some for breakfast and top it with an egg on a nice slice of Julian Bakery Paleo Bread™!


• 1 lb organic ground turkey

• 5 cloves garlic – minced

• 1 chopped green pepper

• Salt and pepper

• 1 tsp chopped basil

• 1 tsp rosemary

• 1 tsp chopped oregano

• ½ cup ground almonds (in blender, or almond flour)

• ½ cup ground flaxseeds

• 2 eggs

• Salt and pepper

• 1 tablespoon kimchi

• pickle slices

• 2 slices of Julian Bakery Paleo Bread per burger


1)      Combine first 11 ingredients in large bowl, and mix well.

2)      Grill to your liking.

3)      While grilling, toast (or grill!) your Julian Bakery Paleo Bread

4)      When burgers and bread are complete, add more minced garlic to burger.

5)      Add kimchi and pickles

Cook Time:

• 15 minutes

Makes 6 burgers

As a post-workout meal, I loved it, I’m full, and I can feel my body getting replenished.  With Paleo Bread I know my blood sugar levels aren’t getting thrown out of whack, I am getting some fiber and healthy ingredients that I can trust.  It’s no wonder that I am not reaching for Wonder Bread!  But if you aren’t working out, you can see that this is a low carb meal that tastes great, and will satisfy anyone with an appetite.  Julian Bakery’s healthy options range from breads to rice, please check them out at and stock up on great tasting items that will keep the whole family happy.
