Grilled Pear and MeeNut Butter Sandwich

This is Dan from Primal4Life bringing you a ”Grilled Pear and MeeNut Butter Sandwich.”  And what a great meal this was…. From the moment that I started grilling up the pears, I had a feeling it would be.  The cinnamon soaking into the pears along with the coconut oil created such an aroma.  Meanwhile my Julian Bakery coconut Paleo Bread was toasting up in the toaster oven, getting a perfect brown to it… Or so I thought.  Sometimes being open to change is good, and having an open mind is even better.  So I decided to go for the gold, and throw the bread in the same pan that the pears just fried up in.  YUMMO!!!!   My coconut Paleo Bread now had the perfect brown to it, along with even more coconut infused into it.  Meanwhile the Paleo MeeNut Butter was starting to ooze, which looked so delectable.  Actually I don’t know which was better, the look or the taste….  Well all I know is when this sandwich was complete I had to hand it over to my daughter.  Luckily I was able to take a bite, for quality assurance purposes of course…  And, we both approve of this one!

Ingredients:

• 1 slice Paleo Bread™

• 2 ¼”slices of Bosc Pear

• Coconut oil for frying

• Cinnamon to sprinkle on pear

• 1 Tablespoon Paleo MeeNut Butter

Directions:

1)      Cook Paleo Bread™ until almost fully toasted.

2)      Cook pear slices in frying pan with coconut oil.

3)      Add cinnamon to pear slices.

4)      When Paleo Bread™ is done, smother Paleo MeeNut Butter onto toast.

5)      Add pear slices to toast, then place toast in frying pan to continue to brown.

6)      After a couple minutes, check toast and remove when you are content with browning.

7)      Cut in half and put together, or eat as is…

Now you may be thinking that this is a treat, almost like candy….  It almost tastes that way and certainly looks it as well, so I can see why you would assume that.  But, this sandwich actually has a lot of good nutrition, believe it or not.  Anyone “in the know” already understands that the coconut Paleo Bread™ is packed with good stuff, like good fatty acids, fiber, and taste.  And, it lacks the bad; GMO’s, grains, gluten, dairy, and its low in carbs.  But then mix in a blend of four nuts from this lovely jar of Paleo MeeNut Butter, and you are getting a bunch more of those same Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, along with vitamin-E and more healthy fiber.  Cinnamon is a great tasting spice, but it also controls your blood sugar, just like that awesome Paleo Bread!  And finally, the Bosc Pear, do I really need to tell you that it’s good for you?  I didn’t think so….

Paleo Bread™ and Paleo MeeNut Butter are both available through Julian Bakery online and in the store.  Unfortunately they do not offer personal chefs, but luckily this meal was super simple to make and I know you can do it!  So place your order easily online and get your Paleo products delivered to your doorstep, from the one and only Julian Bakery!

Till we meet again….
